Mix and Match?

Having two different things you like and mixing them together doesn't necessarily mean it will turn out something you'd like entirely. Like having a favorite dress and your favorite combat boots. You each like them both for their individual qualities, however, it does not mean they'd match perfectly. Sometimes it is better to keep things separate and well compartmentalized in neat little boxes. That way you'd feel so much in control.
I wish...

But hey, if life was that simple, there won't be a term called "its complicated," right? Life does tend to get complicated. It's like mixing different facets of yourself: your friends from different backgrounds, your family, your work,and everything else and making them all work out is one of the most difficult things to do and it's up to us to balance everything out.

All the planning, thinking and all these worry take too much effort! I'd say, maybe we need to let go...

...and maybe experiment a little. Who knew? Dresses do match with combat boots these days. The punk rock look is so in lately that you tend to wonder. Maybe the things you try so hard to keep well isolated are the very things that will make a perfect fit.

Rushing Tides

Grasping on grains of sand, clutching ever so tightly, watching all the grains slip away;

Like the rushing tides, impatiently beating on the rocks and boulders, but ending at absolutely nowhere, neither moving the obstacles nor achieving anything;

Somewhat feels like an eternal black hole where everything is dark and dreary.

Even the ever pliant bamboo has its breaking point at some time or another.

But I still hope that this bamboo will continue to hold on and not succumb to the harsh winds that life is blowing at it.

Patience and perseverance will eventually pave the way for these rushing tides.

PrOjEcT 34/365: Listless

It's been a while since my last blog, I've been busy most of these days and as I parked at an alley, I saw this sleeping dog who seemed to be without a care in the world. It slept soundly that I envied its deep slumber. I wish I had a good night's rest too, but instead, all I get in the morning is a heavy feeling of drowsiness and fatigue, worsened by waking up to the blaring sound of my neighbor's radio... *sigh*

PrOjEcT 32/365: Sky Flakes

5/20/09

As I was driving on my way to the review center today, I realized I forgot to bring my ever-present sky flakes crackers. I worried all the way to the center. Luckily, one of my classmates from college also attended the review and she brought a pack of snacks and shared it with me. I'm saved!!! God really provides when you need it the most!

I try to make it a point that I carry along at least one pack of these especially when I know I'd be gone from the house a long time. These crackers come in handy during times when I get very hungry during long lectures and thus helping me avoid tummy aches. This simple pack of crackers is my savior from endless tummy aches and hyperacidity attacks. Sky Flakes... don't leave home without it. :)

PrOjEcT 31/365: Take the Plunge

5/3/09

4.5ft... hmm.. not too tough eh? Anyway, no matter how things seem simple, never underestimate any task laid out before you. Give it all you've got. That way you won't get stuck with second bests and half-hearted accomplishments. Make sure that task is worth it though.. And when you made up your mind, hold your breath and take the plunge!
