Antique is what comes into mind when I see our dining chair. It's been with the family for years, well, since I was born. Safe to say the house and the furniture is my age... Oops! I hope you don't think I'm ancient too. Anyway, It's antique for me in furniture years. I consider it as such because antiques are rare, exceptional items and is invaluable in my family because of its sentimental values. It has witnessed my early days. It held me through countless meals and even endured my playful nature. We used to teeter on its two hind legs and played balancing acts during meals. I had my fair share of mishaps with the balancing act though. Guess it was the chair telling me to stop or its come back for me playing with it. Sitting back on this chair brings an air of nostalgia, with its battered back and hind legs it still stands in our dining room. I love this chair! -reminder of my mischievous days, witness to my childhood and growing up years.
